Tiles with fire tokens are treated the same way as lava.
Fire tokens can be targeted and take damage. A fire token is removed if it takes 1 damage.
We don’t know much about Vent in his early life or why he started getting the cybernetic implants. Some say he was horribly injured. Others say (and this seems more likely, knowing Vent) that he just liked the look. He probably just looked at his hand one day and thought “This would be better with a laser on it”.
